Jaipur, Sept 10 (Patrika English News): Rajasthan is set to witness dry weather for the next seven days, with maximum and minimum temperatures expected to rise by 2–3 degrees Celsius.

On Wednesday, several cities in the state recorded a rise of 1–4 degrees in day temperatures, with most regions experiencing clear skies and sunshine. In Jaipur, the maximum temperature increased by 0.6 degrees to 34.2°C, while the minimum went up by 1 degree to 25.5°C.
Western Winds to Influence Weather
According to Radheyshyam Sharma, Director of the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, western winds are likely to dominate in the coming days, reducing rainfall activity. He said most parts of the state will experience mainly dry weather, with only isolated areas receiving light to moderate showers.
Rainfall activity may increase again in some parts of southeastern and eastern Rajasthan from September 17, accompanied by thunder.
On Tuesday, Sri Ganganagar recorded the state’s highest rainfall, with Sadulshahar (Sri Ganganagar) logging 17 mm, while parts of western Rajasthan saw light showers.
Water Inflow in Bisalpur Dam Declines
Meanwhile, the inflow of water into Bisalpur Dam has started decreasing. As a result, one of its gates was closed on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, four gates were opened to release 48,080 cusecs of water. By Wednesday, only three gates (Nos. 9, 10, and 11) remained open, releasing 24,040 cusecs. Currently, the Triveni river is flowing at 4.20 metres.
