Jaipur (Patrika English News): Rajasthan is set for another change in weather next week, with heavy rain likely to make a comeback after a brief dry spell. For now, most parts of the state will remain dry until September 16, according to the Meteorological Center, Jaipur.

On Friday, the weather remained dry across the state, leading to a 1–2°C rise in temperatures. Jaipur recorded a maximum temperature of 33.8°C and a minimum of 25°C, with scattered clouds during the day.
Western Winds, Then Rain from September 17
IMD Jaipur Director Radheyshyam Sharma said western winds will dominate for the next 2–3 days, reducing rainfall activity. Only isolated places may receive light to moderate showers until September 16.
However, rainfall activity is expected to increase again from September 17, especially in parts of southeastern and eastern Rajasthan, accompanied by thunderstorms.
Bisalpur Dam Update
With water inflows into the Bisalpur Dam slowing down, authorities on Friday shut one of its gates. On Thursday, three gates had been opened, releasing 18,030 cusecs of water. By Friday, only gates 9 and 10 were kept open, releasing 12,020 cusecs. Currently, the Triveni River is flowing at 4 meters.
