
Jaipur, 24 October (Udaipur Kiran News). The state government has taken strict action in the case of slapping of an employee at a petrol pump in Bhilwara. The government has suspended RAS officer Chhotu Lal Sharma, working as Assistant Director in the Public Services, Administrative Reforms and Coordination Department in Pratapgarh.
The order issued by the Personnel Department said that Sharma has been suspended under the Rajasthan Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1958. During the suspension period, his headquarters will be in the Personnel Department of the Government Secretariat, Jaipur. The order was issued by Joint Government Secretary Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Singh with the permission of the Governor.
The incident took place at a petrol-CNG station located in Jaswantpura of Bhilwara district. According to the information, there were two cars standing in a queue to fill petrol. Officer Sharma was present in the car with his family. Meanwhile, the pump employee first started filling petrol in the car parked behind. On this, Sharma objected and called himself SDM and allegedly slapped the pump employee. In response, a scuffle broke out between the employees and the officer.
The video of the incident was recorded in CCTV camera and within some time it went viral on social media. After this, the police detained three pump employees Deepak Mali, Prabhulal Kumawat and Raja Sharma, who were later released on bail. On the other hand, the RAS officer’s wife has alleged that the pump worker had behaved indecently with her. Raila police station is investigating in this regard.
