Jaipur, 23 October (Udaipur Kiran News). Jaipur Police Chief and 1996 batch IPS officer Sachin Mittal has expressed commitment to effectively curb cyber crime, organized crime and drug trafficking. Apart from this, it has been said to take effective steps for women’s safety. He has appealed that the public should consider the police as their friends.
Jaipur Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal told that the priority has been set by the government and the police headquarters for the capital Jaipur. Strong work will be done on them. He says that in today’s era, cyber crime is a big challenge for the police. Cyber criminals are constantly changing techniques and tactics. To deal with them, there is a need to upgrade new technology and resources.
Mittal says that a proposal for this has also been sent to the state government. On which approval is expected soon. Till then whatever existing resources and technology are available. By making full use of it, cyber criminals will be tightened the noose on cyber crimes. He has also expressed commitment to tackle organized crime. Apart from this, the government has created a separate post to control organized crime. An officer has also been appointed on this. This unit will work especially to curb organized crime. By working with them in teamwork and harmony, organized crime will be controlled.
To effectively curb drug smuggling, Operation Clean Sweep is being conducted in Jaipur Police Commissionerate. This campaign has been quite successful. This will be taken forward so that drug addiction and drug trafficking can be curbed. Special provisions have been made in the new criminal laws regarding the safety of women and crimes against women. In such cases, a time limit has also been fixed for speedy investigation. Efforts will be made to complete the research within the time limit stipulated in the laws. There will be a strong focus on the plans and campaigns of the police headquarters regarding women’s safety.
He stressed on improving communication between the police and the common people and appealed to the common people to consider the police as their friends. Also said that the expectations of the common people from the police. Efforts will also be made to live up to them completely. He has also appealed that information related to crimes and criminals should be sent to the police, so that timely action can be taken.
It is noteworthy that IPS officer Sachin Mittal is a 1996 batch IPS officer and has BE and M.Tech degrees. Apart from this, till recently he was posted as Additional Director General of Police (Personnel/Personnel). During his tenure as ADG Cyber Crime, Mittal launched many major campaigns against cyber criminals. Due to which cyber crime was controlled. Apart from this, Mittal has also been ADG of Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.
Served as SP in many districts
Sachin Mittal has served as Superintendent of Police in Bharatpur, Jhunjhunu, Sawai Madhopur, Jhalawar and Dungarpur districts. He has also served important responsibilities on the post of DIG ATS and as Commissioner of Jodhpur Police Commissionerate. He has also served in the Anti Corruption Bureau for a long time. Mittal, a disciplined and strong officer in the field, will take command of Jaipur Police Commissionerate on Saturday. Where they will have to handle important matters like law and order, traffic management and women’s safety.
