In the Rishi mela organized on the 142nd martyrdom day of Maharishi dayanand Saraswati, Vedic scholar Jwalant Kumar Shastri, while describing the contribution of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, said that 200 years ago, Dayanand Saraswati was born and showed the true path of Vedas to the whole world. Maharishi Dayanand taught reasoning, opposed the superstition and hypocrisy spread in the society and gave women their rights by opposing the practice of Sati.

‘In the message session of Vedic philosophies and Upanishads, Dr. Ram Prakash Varni and Dr. Jagdev Vidyalankar said that there is no opposition between Yoga, Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Mimamsa and Vedanta philosophy, rather all the philosophies complement each other. In the night session, the topic ‘How much Indian Constitution is Indian, how much non-Indian’ was discussed, in which Dr. Surendra Kumar, former Vice Chancellor of Gurukul Kangri, expressed his views. The session was presided over by Sajjan Singh Kothari, former Lokayukta Rajasthan.
Veda memorization competition
The Vedic memorialization competition was organized in which Br. Amit Kumar Ojha—Navjivan Veda Vidyalaya, Brahmapur Odija Atharva Veda and Su Anjika—Smt. Chandravati Kanya Gurukul Kasganj, U.P.
