Third Attack on Irans Bushehr Nuclear Plant Raises Concerns

Tehran, March 28: The Iranian Nuclear Energy Organization has reported a projectile attack on the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant late Friday night, marking the third such incident since the onset of conflict between Iran and the United States-Israel alliance on February 28. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has issued a warning, stating that while no damage has occurred from the recent attacks, continued assaults on nuclear facilities could lead to severe consequences.

Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties, property damage, or technical disruptions from the latest attack. Iranian officials have attributed the assault to the United States and Israel.

The IAEA confirmed that Iran had informed them about the attack. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi expressed deep concern and called for increased military oversight to prevent the risk of a nuclear accident. The agency is closely monitoring the situation, collaborating with Iranian authorities to verify safety measures and ensure the security of all nuclear materials.

These recent attacks highlight the escalating threats to nuclear and industrial facilities in areas affected by Military Tension. While the Khondab Heavy Water Plant and Khuzestan Steel Factory remain secure, experts have warned that repeated targeting of facilities containing radioactive materials could have serious repercussions.

In a related incident, Israel’s National Emergency Service, Magen David Adom (MDA), and the Israeli police reported that a missile launched from Iran resulted in the death of a 60-year-old man in central Tel Aviv. According to police, this incident was linked to a cluster munition missile that struck multiple locations in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area on Friday night (local time).

Authorities stated that the deceased was a construction worker who was hit by shrapnel from the missile explosion. MDA also reported that two individuals sustained minor injuries from the missile strike.
