Jaisalmer, 17 October (Patrika English News ). The heart-wrenching incident that took place in Jaisalmer last Tuesday, in which 22 passengers died tragically when a moving private sleeper bus caught fire and many were injured due to burns, has left the entire area in mourning. A tribute meeting was organized by BJP ahead of Gandhi Darshan near Hanuman Circle on Friday in memory of all those who lost their lives in this horrific accident.
The program was concluded by observing two minutes silence and praying for the peace of the departed souls. After this, the people present expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured passengers. Speakers in the meeting said that this accident has brought deep pain to the society. The administration was appealed to adopt strict security standards to prevent recurrence of such incidents. Media in-charge Babu Lal Sharma said that apart from BJP officials and members, prominent citizens of the city, social workers, public representatives and a large number of general public were present in the tribute meeting. In the end, everyone together prayed to God for peace of the dead souls and to give strength to the family members to bear this unbearable sorrow.
