New Delhi, March 25: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned an Iranian attack that targeted Bahrain, resulting in the death of a Moroccan contractor and injuries to several Bahraini soldiers and UAE defense personnel.
The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) issued a statement denouncing the unprovoked aggression from Iran, which it described as a severe violation of International law and a threat to Bahrain’s sovereignty and security. The attack not only endangered the stability of Bahrain but also escalated tensions in the region, posing risks to the security of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
In its statement, the UAE expressed full solidarity with Bahrain and reiterated its support for all measures taken to maintain the kingdom’s security and stability. The UAE also extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased contractor and to the people of Morocco, wishing a speedy recovery to all those injured in the attack.
Amid ongoing tensions in West Asia, Israel claimed on Tuesday that it successfully neutralized a potential threat by destroying an Iranian launcher in a timely operation. Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani, an international spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), reported that Israeli Air Force jets targeted a fully loaded ballistic missile launcher in western Iran, which was prepared for an attack on Israel.
“An attack aimed at our civilians was thwarted in time,” Shoshani stated on the social media platform X, confirming that the missile launcher was destroyed before it could be used.
