
Bharatpur, 20 October (Patrika English News ). On Monday, a tense situation arose in the Bayana police station area of the district due to a land dispute. Due to the dispute, villagers blocked the Bayana-Bharatpur State highway. During this time, when the police tried to remove two protesting youth from the road, the angry villagers pelted stones at the police, due to which there was chaos on the spot.
The incident is being reported from Bhimnagar Tiraha. The stone pelting was so intense that pedestrians saved themselves by entering nearby shops. In this incident, the glass panes of the vehicles of CO Krishna Raj Jangid and Sadar police station were broken.
CO Krishna Raj Jangid said that there is a long standing dispute between two parties Siyaram Gurjar and Bharat Singh Gurjar and Maharaj Singh and Brijendra Jatav regarding the land on the road in Gurdha village of Garhi Bajna police station area. Both the parties have lodged reports against each other in the police station.
The police had already restrained both the parties from the SDM court so that peace is maintained in the area. But due to the demand for action in the case not being met, anger spread among the villagers and they started protesting by blocking the road at Bhimnagar intersection.
As soon as information about the jam was received, many officers including Additional SP Hariram Kumawat, CO Krishna Raj Jangid, Naib Tehsildar Vaishali Dhakad, Revenue Inspector Ashish Saraswat, Sumran Singh, Kamal Saunkia and Patwari Mohit Kumar reached the spot.
While the officers were giving advice to the villagers, some people became agitated and started pelting stones at the police.
Seeing the situation going out of control, the police dispersed the crowd by lathicharge. In the clash between the two sides, two policemen were injured and the glasses of many vehicles were broken.
Additional police forces were called from Bayana, Sadar, Garhi Bajna and Bhusawar Circle to bring the situation under control. QRT team and Jabta have been deployed on the spot so that there is no disturbance of any kind again. Additional SP Hariram Kumawat said that the police is now identifying the attacking villagers. Everyone will be identified and legal action will be taken against them. At present the situation is completely under control and there is peace in the area.
