Washington, March 25: Melania Trump, the First Lady of the United States, has initiated a new Global Alliance that brings together 45 countries and major technology companies. The primary aim of this alliance is to enhance access to education and technology for children worldwide through coordinated efforts.
Addressing the opening session of the “Fostering the Future Together” summit held at the U.S. State Department, she stated, “As individuals, we dream. As leaders, we move forward. As a nation, we build. Starting today, let us accelerate our new global alliance to positively impact the development of our children.”
The two-day summit has gathered International leaders and major tech companies to collaborate on enhancing educational resources for children in the digital environment and strengthening their safety.
Melania Trump emphasized, “The mission of our alliance is to empower children by providing greater access to technology and education. This is a historic moment.”
In her speech, the First Lady presented a roadmap that includes developing innovation-based educational programs, advocating for supportive policies in education, promoting technology-based laws, and strengthening partnerships between governments and the private sector.
She remarked, “Our shared vision places children above politics, geographical boundaries, and local biases,” urging all member countries to organize regional meetings, conduct research studies, foster new partnerships, and collaborate with other nations.
The summit focuses on four key areas: EdTech tools, artificial intelligence in education, online safety, and digital literacy.
Melania also highlighted the participation of major American tech companies, noting that the industry’s role is crucial in shaping this initiative. She remarked, “Never before have so many tech visionaries stood before such a large global audience of State Department and White House leaders in just two days.”
She mentioned companies like Meta, Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, and Zoom, describing the meeting as “unprecedented.” She encouraged leaders to use this extraordinary human capacity to uplift their children, empower people, and accelerate economies.
Melania further stated that this platform will act as a “capability multiplier,” based on artificial intelligence, education, and global leadership. She added, “Our main goal is to equip youth with the necessary skills to succeed in this rapidly changing world.”
The First Lady concluded that this summit is “just the beginning” of a larger global effort. She urged, “Let us all invest together, increase access, and create new opportunities in education and technology.”
