Jaipur, October 13 (Udaipur Kiran News). A case has come to light of Jaipur Development Authority evicting nomadic and poor citizens without rehabilitating them. Due to which, under the banner of Bharat Jodo Mission Society, hundreds of people reached Jaipur District Collector office on Monday and gave a memorandum to the Additional District Collector in the name of the District Collector. Additional District Collector Ashish Kumar Sharma assured the delegation that appropriate action would be taken soon in this matter.
State President of Bharat Jodo Mission Society, Anish Kumar Nadar said that about 60 families have been living permanently for the last 50 years in Khedi Gram Panchayat Gokulpura in Sanganer Tehsil, ahead of Balaji Mandir turn, under the jurisdiction of Jaipur Development Authority. These people have all the documents to prove their residence here for a long time. Despite this, Jaipur Development Authority is bent upon evicting them without rehabilitating them and throwing them on the streets and Jaipur Development Authority has given notices. That notice was stopped with immediate effect and a memorandum demanding their rehabilitation was handed over to Additional District Collector Ashish Kumar Sharma in the name of Jaipur District Collector Dr. Jitendra Soni on Monday.
Accusing Jaipur Development Authority of evicting people without rehabilitating them in its jurisdiction, Anish Kumar Nadar has demanded that all the schemes are being implemented by Jaipur Development Authority. These families should be rehabilitated there. He said that on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Dalit Utthan Maha Abhiyan has been started to take forward the campaign of providing housing to all. Through which all the villages and hamlets of poor families of Jaipur district are being linked to the campaign to get lease for permanent housing. Where leases for permanent housing have not been provided since independence till date. So far, about 25 villages have joined this campaign of Bharat Jodo Mission Society.
