
Jaipur, October 17 (Patrika English News ). Under the “Pure Food – Attack on Adulteration” campaign run by the state government, the Food Safety Department took action and busted an illegal spice manufacturing unit.
Chief Medical and Health Officer, Jaipur I, Dr. Ravi Shekhawat said that a raid has been conducted at Rajendra Masala Grinding Center near Rico Talai in Sarna Dungar. The factory was being operated by Rajendra Singh resident of Thoi without any food license. During inspection, it was found that turmeric was being made by mixing color with rice kernels in the factory. A total of 1 thousand 875 kg of adulterated material was recovered from the spot, which was destroyed. Shekhawat said that 1,400 kg adulterated turmeric, 400 kg chapad, 75 kg chilli powder, samples of turmeric and chilli have been sent for testing under the Food Safety Standards Act. This action was taken with the information received from the police and with the help of Station Officer Police Station Khora Bisal Surendra Singh.
Chief Medical and Health Officer, Jaipur I, Dr. Ravi Shekhawat said that continuous monitoring and action is being taken under a special strategy to stop adulteration. Such illegal traders will be identified and strict action will be taken against them. Food safety officers Virendra Kumar Singh, Vishal Mittal and Pawan Kumar Gupta and police department officials were involved in this action.
