On the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day, the immortal martyrs of Rajasthan Police were not only paid tribute with military honours, but also a pledge was taken to sacrifice life and protect the environment in memory of their sacrifice. Just after the completion of the state level tribute program at Rajasthan Police Academy, a voluntary blood donation camp and tree plantation program was organized.
The police force participated enthusiastically in this noble initiative. Retired Director General of Police Hemant Priyadarshi along with officers and employees of CI, PC, IV, V, 13th Battalion RAC, SOG and ATS, Jaipur Metro and RPA paid tribute to the martyred policemen by donating a total of 63 units of blood voluntarily.
Director General of Police Rajasthan Rajiv Sharma, Director General of Police Training Ashok Rathore, Additional Director General of Police and Director RPA S. Saplings were planted in the RPA campus by Seganthir in memory of the martyrs. After observing the blood donation camp, he boosted the morale of the police officers and policemen who donated blood and appreciated them.
Voluntary blood donation camps and cleanliness drives were also organized at Police Lines and other district headquarters in Jaipur in connection with Police Martyrs’ Day. Along with this, tree plantation was done in the memory of the martyred police personnel, in which the family members of the martyred policemen planted saplings and a plaque with the name of the martyred policeman was also installed on it.
