Despite rising tensions in the Middle East, India continues to maintain cordial relations with all parties involved. This conversation comes at a time when Iran is facing significant conflict, particularly with its ongoing war with Israel.
On Thursday, Iran launched missile attacks on Israel, targeting the capital city of Jerusalem. One missile landed just a few hundred meters from the Old City, Western Wall, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, temporarily halting prayers in the area.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claimed responsibility for intercepting the missiles launched by Iran. They reported that their defense systems were activated to counter these threats and issued advisories for civilians to seek safe locations.
The IDF shared on their official social media platform ‘X’, stating, “The defense system is working to intercept these threats. In the past few minutes, the front command has issued initial instructions to mobile phones in the relevant areas. Citizens are requested to act responsibly and follow the given instructions. It is essential to enter a safe location upon receiving alerts and remain there until new instructions are provided.”
